Question About Bonuses

Please excuse my ignorance but can someone explain rollover requirements to me? I've read the rules regarding bonuses and they all mention a rollover requirement but I am confused as to what that means.

A roll over is the number of times you need to play your deposit/bonus in order to make a payout
